For me, the process of putting pastel or brush or pen/pencil to paper to create something is a spiritual, emotional, and therapeutic experience--it is when I'm most present in the world and 'in the zone.' While life and my surroundings influence my art, it is driven by color, intuition, and often, whimsy.
I have been influenced by many great artists and teachers over the years, and I believe my work is a confluence of all with a sprinkling of my own unique personality.
In exploring different techniques and letting the creative process work its magic, my goal is to capture the viewer's attention through the use of color, movement, and space.

My experience includes writing a monthly feature column in The Old Town Crier since 2001, editor for the Medium publication The Virago, and a blogger with over 2,000 followers.
